Courtney became interested in graphic design in high school, where she majored in communications and multimedia design. She graduated from Harford Community College in 2004 with an Associates degree in Visual Communications: Digital Media.

In fall 2011, Courtney began her studies at Towson University as a transfer student studying art and design. She will graduate in the fall 2013 with a Bachelor's of Art.

Upon graduation, Courtney plans to become a graphic and/or web designer. She hopes to one day work for a non-profit or for the U.S. government.
