Homework 8:GameSalad Game (Inside my FileZilla in the gamesalad folder, no idea how to get it out)

Homework 9: Ecommerce Home and Ecommerce Internal

Homework 10: Scrollrama

Homework 11: Isotope- still working on it

Homework 12: Transitional- no chance of starting

I’d obviously like to have my last two projects dropped because they just don’t exist. You haven’t seen my Game Salad game- it’s similar to whack-a-mole with a 30 second timer and sharks instead of moles because everyone hates sharks. You have also not seen my Scrollarama, of which I am very proud so please look. I think it’s a great promotional-type site for my work. Everything is clickable also which is pretty cool. I’d like an A in this class because I think you can definitely see improvement in my work. I’m doing to do a little defending now:

My Parallax was intentionally dark and moody and I decided not to change it. I searched out those photos and shopped them to all look like that, so I’m sticking by that choice because I still like it. It’s Night Before Christmas-y

My Ecommerce site could definitely use more words, but I still think it’s pretty eegant while being functional and simple

My slider is one of my favorites because I started to shoot for these projects instead of searching for images. It was motivational

My Scrollarama is my favorite. It’s simple and matches my site and is pretty

Anywho, this class was really great and I will definitely be taking more web design classes, most likely after I graduate. I’m even considering a graduate degree… what have you done?!

Have a great Christmas!

Bad Things:
Social Media- Get organized and
Gallery Pages- This one and This one are basically isotopes anyway, so add some filters! This one is almost unnecessary since there are hardly any photos… make all of these into one page and just put a header within the body page to scroll between sets of photos.

The hound’s tooth needs to go… the and the red makes me feel like I am going to be murdered.

If you have concept suites listed- they need images if you click here, there should be something to let you know what you’re getting yourself into

Also, the font in the logo is very bad.. the logo itself is sort of nice but the font is bad. Also, why does your logo change? See photos

Blog Post

My favorite website really has to be tumblr… Definitely not for its looks, but for the service it provides. The simple layout is nice, but the true awesomeness about its design is the ability to customize and download plug-ins to make the space your own. I can customize both my dashboard and my page to make the experience distinctly my own style and more aesthetically cohesive. Also, the ability to share is the main focus of the site. Users can share and interact anonymously and publicly, whichever they choose, and I have yet to see this site go the way of bullying or cyber attacks because of the mainly positive message that the users envision for the site.

Here’s my Mood Board (Pinterest)

Here’s my interactive Website of choice

Here’s why:

I think the homepage is really great; simple, informative, and engaging. I love that this site not only advertises the movie, but the disease as well. In addition, the whole site moves fluidly from one page to another… I’m not a huge fan of all this scrolling business. The graphics are just simple and clean and wrapped in a nice black border/background and I love it, the end.

1,000 Fans

Honestly, if I had 1,000 true fans, I would most definitely need to hire a person to be my mediator. I hardly want to deal with “fans” and I’m really just looking to do exactly what Kelly said: create and shoot. I’m sure you feel the same way, in that, you already spend a ton of time working on your stuff, why would you then want to cater to a bunch of people clamoring for your work in your free time?

Now, if I HAD to contact 1,000 fans, I would probably use a social media site. Very few people visit individual websites unless they have a specific intention or if they have been called to do so on a site that they frequent. I use Instagram and Facebook to update people on my work, but I don’t think they really care and neither do I, so it’s infrequent and often half-assed. I would, most definitely, enjoy having 1,000 true fans… as long as someone else had to deal with them.
